SUBMIT AN ARTICLE
We are currently looking for article submissions for our 2020 issue of Future Plans!

Requirements for all Articles:
​
-
You must submit by 6:00 pm PST Wednesday, July 15, 2020
-
You must show that at least one of the authors is a student, alumni, or faculty member of a nationally accredited Planning program
-
You must follow the requirements, style guide and article templates found below
-
You must submit your article to mcp@viu.ca with "Future Plans Submission" in the subject line
-
You must identify the type of article you are submitting in your email (Academic, Perspective, Exploration, etc.)

ACADEMIC ARTICLES
PLANNING PERSPECTIVES
​
-
Can be any length and on any Planning topic you chose
-
Must be similar to an academic article
CULTURE, EXPLORATION, & HAPPENINGS
​
-
These articles and submissions must be shorter length (maximum 5 pages)
-
They should be focused on innovative ideas, current events, up coming or past events, etc.
-
Some examples of acceptable content are: short and engaging articles, photographs, poetry, manifestos
TECHNICAL TOOLBOX

These articles can be any length
-
Must be on technical topics such as policies, frameworks, legal rulings, etc.
APPLY TO BE A REVIEWER
We are currently looking for peer-reviewers for our 2020 issue of Future Plans and any future publications!

Requirements:

You must be a professional or academic working with or researching Planning related topics
-
You must be a full or candidate member of the Canadian Institute of Planners or another national planning association
-
You must submit your CV to mcp@viu.ca with "Future Plans Peer-Reviewer" in the subject line

Please identify your area(s) of expertise
